It is officially summertime and DKNY Vancouver stores wanted to celebrate the sunny weather. What better way to do that than to have a sale on Spring 10/ Summer 10 apparel! To get the word out, Lance, head of marketing got us to design an email blast to send out to their mailing list. I started with a photo from DKNY. Unfortunately this photo was a bit busy with lots of fine detail. It seemed better fitted as a large scale billboard or in-store mural.
I decided to crop the photo to bring more focus to details of the textile patterns and footwear. To accentuate the summer theme, I pulled a saturated magenta and fresh organic green from the photo for the text and graphics. Maintaining the minimalist DKNY look, I kept it uncluttered and to the point. Lance was excited with the outcome and the customers flocked to the DKNY stores!
